Music in the Orthodox tradition is iconographic and has a unique sacramental aspect. The choir helps to lead the congregation in worship by singing at each Sunday Liturgy, as well as at Great Feasts, Lent and Holy Week services, weddings, and funerals. Weekly rehearsals are on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am, before Divine Liturgy. New members are always welcome! (Teenagers and older elementary age children may participate, along with the adults.) This is a great opportunity to learn many beautiful Orthodox liturgical melodies from different countries. If you are interested, and can commit to regular attendance at rehearsals and services, please contact our Choir Director, Irena Burkett. (You may use the email form on our Contact page to contact her; use drop-down menu to select message recipient.)
