Prosopon Beginners' Iconography Workshop

Six-Day Iconography Workshop   
The Beginners’ Workshop was open to 15 “beginning” students, and ran from 9am to 4-5PM for the 6 days.  The icon was of an angel. 

Members of the parish provided lunch daily for the students. The Workshop was held at the Church of the Annunciation, 13515 Southeast Rusk Road, Milwaukie, Oregon 97222. The coordinator for this event was Rosalie Broding, broding.oregon@comcast.net.

Workshop Costs:
The cost of the workshop was $750. 00 
Plus Supply Costs: 
Students used the instructor’s supplies during the course. The fee for using the instructor's supplies was $50. The supplies included clay, gold leaf, brushes, and a palette.  (The brushes and palette were given to the students to keep.)  Students also needed to order a 9 1/2 X 12 1/2 or 10 x 13 inch gesso student board with a kovcheg to bring to the class. The cost of such an icon board is about $80-$115, depending on style and vendor (excluding shipping).
